Best Fast-Paced First-Person Shooter: Doom
Doom has come a long way on the PC, with an addictive, fast-paced, first-person shooter game about a space marine battling the forces of Hell. The updated take on the classic wastes no time with its “push-forward combat” where players engage in quick momentum battles against relentless forces of evil that never tire.
Doom is the type of first-person shooter that has you bobbing and weaving past devil-hurled fireballs while dodging the swipes of long claws and carefully timed gunfire and brutal melee attacks. Players will get to double jump, climb ledges and explore the dark and eerie industrial and corporate areas of a Mars research facility and then go through a portal to Hell. Doom’s main story will last you about 12 to 13 hours, becoming more difficult (but rewarding) as you acquire more items, weapons and health by destroying demons.
